What does a Respite Caregiver do?
A respite caregiver provides temporary relief for a primary caregiver by offering short-term, in-home care. Clients receiving respite care may live alone or with family, but they usually require a caregiver to successfully perform their day-to-day tasks. A respite caregiver’s primary responsibility is to take over for the primary caregiver smoothly and in a way to not disrupt the client’s everyday life.

Qualifications
Celestial Care will provide the necessary training to deliver the best possible care to each and every client, but there are a few unique qualifications we look for in respite caregivers.
In-Home Caregiver Qualifications
- 1 Year of prior caregiving experience
- Possession of a driver’s license and a reliable car
- Flexibility to regularly work with new clients
- Ability to establish rapport with new clients quickly
- Understanding of basic health and hygiene practices
- Attention to detail
